Have you ever been dining out with the family and had that aching feeling that something is missing…like your dog? No, me neither, but apparently there are plenty of people who have, as posh dog dining is all the rage right now.
From the 28th April to May the 1st, the Bites & Bones pop-up restaurant at the Bluebird Cafe in London’s Chelsea, will be cordially inviting four-legged diners to get stuck into popcorn, venison sausages and chicken and lamb ‘barkenberg’ loaf, to name but a few of the doggy delicacies on offer.
Thinking about it, why shouldn’t dogs experience three-courses of posh nosh in London? They are our best friends after all. If your dog has been chomping at the bit for a night on the town, now’s your chance to give it what it deserves.
Even the vegans of the dog world, if there’s such a thing, will feel at home the Bluebird, as the Bites & Bones menu caters for all tastes. Long gone are the days when leftover roast dinner with a side of Pedigree Chum is enough for your canine.
Is this humanisation of dogs one step too far, or is it a bit of harmless fun? We’ll leave that up to you. If you fancy getting on your glad rags (and dog lead) for a bit of doggy dining, then head down to The Bluebird tomorrow!
