Last night’s Restaurant & Bar Design Awards at the Old Truman Brewery, Shoreditch saw The German Gymnasium pick up an award for ‘Best Overall Restaurant Award 2016’.
German Gymnasium is a wonderful restaurant conversion of the first ever British purpose built Gymnasium.
The now prestigious award winning restaurant is part of D&D London who operate a group of international hotels, bars and restaurants including Le Pont de la Tour, Quaglino’s, Coq d’Argent, Launceston Place and Angler.
The restaurant is situated in King’s Cross, London and offers an all day Grand Café, a fantastic restaurant on the first floor and two equally elegant bars.
The awards ceremony at the Old Truman Brewery, Shoreditch saw the restaurant also pick up an earlier award for ‘Best Restaurant in a Heritage Building’ before picking up the Best Overall Restaurant Award.
The night was also a great success for the Handmade Burger Company who won ‘Best Restaurant in a Transport Space’
Other winners were Nando’s for ‘Multiple Restaurants and Fast/Casual’ categories.
If you feel that your restaurant, bar or cafe should be involved with awards then there are so many different award competitions out there. And don’t be put off by the big boys as Thaikhun’s won their award at last night’s awards for ‘Best Street Food’.
Go online and have a search for different hospitality awards, some of which have been and gone but you can earmark for next year. Winning an award both locally or nationally obviously has it’s benefits. Not only is a restaurant award one of the best things to shout about from a marketing perspective but the coverage of your business throughout the process has a positive effect on your brand’s awareness.
Congratulations to the winners from all at Merchant Loan Advance.
