From the friendliest pub to the best outdoor activity, Scottish residents have been asked to submit their nominations for this year’s Scottish Thistle Awards, dubbed the Scottish Tourism Oscars.
This week, the good folk of Perthshire have been encouraged to pick their favourite businesses from a variety of categories across the tourism industry. Nominations must be submitted by Friday 17th June.
Entrants will be shortlisted by a panel of experts and finalists will go head-to-head at special regional ceremonies in November. Winners of this will then attend the glitzy Scottish Thistle Awards next year.
With the country experiencing an unprecedented level of uncertainty and outside focus over the last year following the referendum, the awards are a great way for Scotland to showcase and celebrate its thriving tourism industry.
Categories include friendliest bar/pub, innovation in tourism, as well as the new ‘rising star’ award, which hopes to find Scotland’s young tourism champion (for ages 30 and under). For more details on each category, as well as information on how to submit your nomination, visit: https://www.scottishthistleawards.co.uk/
MLA would like to wish all entrants the best of luck. What a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of some truly fantastic businesses in the world of tourism.
