The world’s first ‘rollercoaster restaurant’ will open its doors to thrill-seeking diners at Alton Towers on May 13th, the theme park has announced.

Forget the conventional process of being served your dinner by a waitress, now your food will be loop-the-looping its way to you over 400 metres of steal track.

Whizzing through TWO loop-the-loops and dropping a stomach churning 26ft to your table, your dinner will travel an impressive 1,300ft before making its final journey to your stomach! The Rollercoaster Restaurant will consist of 13 tables and will be located right at the park’s centre, near the Enchanted Village.

The quirky idea has attracted a lot of attention, and bosses are expecting it to be extremely popular with the park’s millions of annual visitors. An Alton Towers spokesperson said: “The intricate network of loop-the-loops and winding tracks is an amazing site to behold and we feel that the new restaurant is an attraction in itself”
